When biosensors are applied to a patient's skin like bandages, their sweat will be directed into those collected micropores. The dye applied to the bottom of each well then changes color according to the pH level of sweat and its chloride, glucose and calcium concentrations. PCB factory china found that most people may not like to be taken blood samples, so a large number of non-invasive devices such as skin patches have emerged in recent years to analyze health data. A new cheap bandage biosensor simplifies this concept because it does not contain any electronic components.

The equipment was developed by scientists from China and the United States and consists of an adhesive backed flexible polyester film coated with a super hydrophobic (waterproof) silica suspension. Etched into the coating are four tiny superhydrophilic (water absorbing) pores.

When biosensors are applied to a patient's skin like bandages, their sweat will be directed into those collected micropores. The dye applied to the bottom of each well then changes color according to the pH level of sweat and its chloride, glucose and calcium concentrations.

Scientists then use smart phone cameras and applications to evaluate the color of the holes and provide users with readings of four parameters-although the data comes from sweat, it corresponds to the level in the patient's body. When testing volunteers who sweat during exercise, the device/application determines that their sweat has a pH value between 6.5 and 7.0, a chloride concentration of about 100mM, and trace amounts of calcium and glucose.
